The P16800 doubles the signals of a speed sensor. In addition, it converts them as required regarding signal type (current/voltage) or frequency. In this way, any speed sensor can be connected to different controllers. The device simplifies the retrofitting of rail vehicles with control systems that require speed information and helps to quickly and cost-effectively implement the extensive requirements for odometry that e.g. result from the European standardized train control system ETCS.
